Ok time to update. Havent really been upto much (other than being paranoid about stalkers) other than trying desperately to get THE room finally finished before the winter sets in. I was asked the other day by one of my clients how the room was coming on and my reply was "its coming" I shouldnt complain about then length of time it has taken so far as it was a big job we took on not knowing how busy our summer would end up being. So now we have insulation and a window so its looking hopeful that we will be warm for the winter. All the walls are insulated and now weve started ripping the awful stick on tiles circa 1975 to reveal, so far, a very good conditioned original 1905 wooden floor. We're just hoping that the rest of the room is going to be as good as the bit we can see now so then theres not much work to be done with it. Fortunately the previous owner did one good thing in this house and thats sticking the awful tiles circa 1975 onto chipboard which was nailed ontop of the original flooring. So although we have a million and one nails holding it down, its better than the sticky backing. Once we get all this flooring up then we can get a guy in to drywall it and then sand the floor and get the gas fireplace back in before it gets too cold. I dont care about the painting of it just as long as we have the basics done. So pictures for you......

....Not long after we started

......this was taken about 2 weeks ago just after we ordered the window for the hole on the left.

.....a little on the dark side but you get the idea....look new window which doesnt leak or cause endless draughts :-))))
Now hopefully I will be able to post a picture of it finished by Christmas....not going to say which Christmas but just by Christmas :)
